Free Swimming At Greensboro Aquatic Center

On Wednesday, June 28th, from 12:00-3:00 PM the Greensboro Aquatic Center is opening its doors for a third annual Subway Swim Day for Autism Unbound families! RSVPs are required - Space is limited and open to the first 50 kids with autism, accompanied in the pool by one parent or guardian per child. During the event, we'll have two groups of 25 kids, with one parent swimming per child. The Greensboro Aquatic Center will have two lifeguards and five in-water instructors per group to provide basic swimming instruction, games, and safety tips for our children with autism!
The first group will check-in at 12:00 PM in the main lobby (pool deck opens to our families at 12:15 PM), begin swimming instruction at 12:30 PM, and enjoy a Subway meal at 1:30 PM followed by safety tips for parents to take home. The second group will check-in at 1:30 PM in the main lobby, begin swimming instruction at 2:00 PM, and enjoy a Subway meal at 3:00 PM followed by safety tips for parents to take home.
Subway meals will include a turkey sandwich, bottled water, Lays chips, and a cookie. Parents are welcome to bring their own snacks for kids with food sensitivities.
Participants must be comfortable with having media presence at the event, which may include filming and photography for marketing purposes. By signing up for the event you're agreeing to this term. The Greensboro Aquatic Center is located at 1921 West Gate City Blvd. Greensboro, NC 27403.

by Friday, June 16th. Please include the preferred time (12:00 or 1:30), number of persons with autism attending, number of parents or guardians attending, and total number of people attending.
Friendly reminders: RSVPs are on a first-come-first-served basis. The event is primarily intended and structured for people with autism. Autistic adults are welcome to attend. Each participant must be accompanied in the pool by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult. Don't forget your swimsuits and towels!
